Precious Metals IRA Fee Calculator
Custodian and depository fees are what you actually pay each year to hold metal in an IRA. They are set by third parties, not by the dealer you buy from. Enter your amount and time frame to compare.
Advertising disclosure: BestGoldMoney is reader-supported. We receive compensation from some of the companies below. Fee figures are calculated from each provider's published schedule and are not influenced by those relationships — the ranking here is by lowest calculated cost, whatever that produces.
Calculating…
Calculated from the published fee schedules of the providers on this page whose full schedule is disclosed. Providers who direct customers to a written fee statement instead of publishing figures are shown separately below and are not included in this comparison. Methodology & sources ↓
▸ Total custodian & depository fees over 10 years
Methodology: the fees shown are charged by the IRA custodian and the depository that stores the metal, not by the dealer you purchase through. Dealers earn from the markup on the metal itself. Augusta figures come from the company's published fee sheet ($50 custodian application fee, $125 annual custodian fee, $100 annual depository storage). GoldenCrest figures were confirmed directly by the provider ($50 setup, $250 annual custodian via Entrust, $100 annual storage at Delaware Depository, $150 segregated). Calculations include advertised multi-year fee coverage for qualifying account sizes and are shown for comparison only. They exclude the per-transaction dealer markup on metals, which varies by product, is not publicly standardized, and is frequently larger than the fees calculated here. Fee schedules and coverage terms change without notice — confirm current figures directly with each provider before opening an account.
